Four hearts, four different pieces
An open heart is a line — light, modern, and the easiest to layer. A puffed heart is hollow-formed and reads as volume without the weight of a solid one. An entwined pair is two hearts sharing an edge, which is why it is the anniversary shape. The Claddagh — hands, heart, crown — is Irish, dates to Galway in the 1700s, and means friendship, love and loyalty in that order.
