About this piece
This sterling silver pendant takes the form of a traditional oval Miraculous Medal, shaped to wear on a chain passed through its round bail. The front face carries a satin-finished relief of Our Lady of Grace with rays extending from her outstretched hands and the date 1830 inscribed beneath her figure — all framed by a scalloped, bead-detailed border that catches light against the quieter interior. The reverse shows the classic reverse iconography of the medal: a crowned M surmounted by a cross, two hearts beneath, and a ring of stars pressed into the satin field, with the same decorative border continuing around the edge.
The pendant is die-struck in solid sterling silver, giving the raised figures a crisp, well-defined quality that holds its detail over time. Its oval face measures under an inch tall, a size visible in the scale photo, making it substantial enough to read clearly when worn yet light enough for daily use. The silver-tone finish keeps the piece consistent front and back.
This medal suits everyday devotional wear as readily as milestone occasions such as First Communion, Confirmation, or a christening gift. It slides onto any compatible chain and layers naturally with other pendants. Sterling silver benefits from occasional polishing with a soft cloth to maintain its brightness.
